Default Power lock not working - Help alarm error code 46,47,3,60

99 996 C4 50kmiles, bought a couple of months ago, power locks was not working. Good price so I thought shouldn't be a hard fix.

The problem;
If I use the key to lock, I can hear the gas door actuator cycle and a couple of clicks under the driver seat. No obvious sound from the door lock actuator. hornbeeps couple of times and passenger door remains unlocked, driver door is locked. Same behavior when I use the key fob.

Removed both driver and passenger door lock assembly checked all microswitches based on the article on "renntech-Diy common fixes" Inner and outer door handle switches work fine. Only microswitches I haven't checked are trunk and decklid. I put the durametic tool on it and here are the screen shots (error codes 46, 47, 3, 60).[ATTACH]Name: Durametric June 15 2011-1.jpg

I had a problem where my doors did not lock - my driver's side window also did not go up that extra inch when I closed the door. Apparently it was the "Drivers side door latch assembly" Part # 8N1-837-015-C , because of this faulty part - my car would think the door was open and would not let me lock the doors.

Thanks wisky,the only reason that the system would think door is open is cause of the microswitches, all of them are working fine. If I am right that is shown on the screen shot 2 of the durametric software by input sensors/switches. I may try messing with the switches again before I take a plunge at a the assembly. Besides I don't have any problems with the window closing, I'm yet to confirm the functioning of trunk and decklid switches. Will keep you posted on progress.

I you look at the input signal screen (third screen shot)

Drivers side secured closed
Passenger side secured closed
Drivers side locked blank
Passenger side locked blank
Drivers door blank
Passenger door closed
Front luggage compartment closed
Rear luggage/engine compartment blank.

So you may be right wisky, but what is confusing is that "Driver door secure" conflicts with "Driver door" don't know what to make of it. "Rear luggage/engine compartment: may be a problem too....

Well I did a little troubleshooting and finally found out that both the door lock actuator motors were frozen. I had to dismantle the two door lock assemblies and forced the motors to turn. Lubed it and works fine. Easy fix considering replacement of both door lock assemblies $400 with tax. Looks like the PO may have got some water in the door at some point and didn't drive it much, 6k miles in 4 years. Anybody need help with dis assembly of the lock mechanism, I can help.
