Default Spill inside trunk...how to clean

Washed and waxed today...and stupidly put the heavy bottle of soap of top of the turtle wax bottle. now i have a sizeable green stain of gooey wax on the bottom of my trunk

Do you guys have any tricks to getting rid of stains? I have goo gone and carpet cleaner, but I dont want to permantly stain the carpet once i get rid of the stain...if that makes sense.

I would pull the liner out of the trunk and use some warm soapy water first on the area to see if it is water-soluble. I always try the safer solution first before using chemicals. My second choice would be a light spray of tuff stuff with soft brush, use care not to apply too much pressure.

The furry type of material it is from other cars I can remember scrubbing it with cloth or brush makes the material look strange and uneven. Kind of makes it a flattened frayed area. I've seen a Castrol Super Clean thats a purplish cleaner that can be found in walmart and others in varying sizes do miracle easpecially with oils removal. Watch out for skin exposure. Don't get it on your skin because it will remove ALL the oil and have your skin flaking. With that stuff I'd just try rinsing it over the area with slight soaking and only rinsing and possibly blotting it up if the stain is persistant. I would NOT rub a rag or scrub with a tooth brush on the area. It might deform the lay of the fuzzy stuff. I'd only go as far as slightly pushing a tooth brush onto to effected area doing my best not to push the material around.

might try and call a dismantler and see what a new (used) one costs... might not be worth messing with...
