Larry, Larry, Larry, no, no no, say it ain't so.....no stripes, it is not a GT3, ( or an RS)..IMHO the turbo is simply gorgeous in its own right. Having said that, it is like house decorating (*cringe*) what is tasteful to one is not the cup of tea for another....if you like chrome wheels and metallic stripes, so be it!
FWIW, there a more than a few in here who recommend spending $$$ on DE's. Improves driving skills, makes you feel younger, look better, cuz ya can't stop smiling......... while it ain't the fountain of "yout", sure come close......and the stories and people and thrills,....oh well, just go, you'll see!

Pete, no I didn't put a choice in for "No Stripes". I never anticipated that the tenor of the crowd would be so dramatically in that direction. OK, no stripes. I'm saving money for a helmet and the next DE.
I did a number of AutoX in my 73, and loved it. I am sure that I will love the DE as well. I am just a bit concerned about trashing the car. Since this is my DD, I really can't afford to miss a turn in it. I'll keep thinking about it.
In spite of the fact that you guys are so totally against my desire for stripes, I still love ya' anyways.

BTW, Larry, your first few times, you really shouldn't worry about any "metal forming classes' at the track, you'll have an instructor and you should be fine, really......
