Default is it possible to repair these deep scratches on my headlight?

Is there a way to repair these scratches on this headlight? they are deep..could they be sanded down? or is there anything i can do? My insurance replaced my headlight when i hit a chair on the FWY, it was only scratched everything else is fine. The brand new light doesn't match the light on the other side since one is brand new & one is 8 years old...the light output is different, & it bothers me, the new headlight actually looks more yellowish (not a bulb issue we swapped bulbs) and the headlight on the other side (the old one) gives out a more bluish light.

I want to put my old headlight back in to match this since the piece of garbage insurance company say they dont care if the light output matches as long as they replaced the headlight with an OEM one thats all they are responsible for, they wont buy another new one for the other side since it wasn't damaged! F***ckers

Yes you can make that go away. Wet sand that area with 600, 1000 then 1500 grid sandpaper. You'll see it disappear. Do both complete headlights with 1000 and 1500 grid. Your going to need a high speed buffer, you can by a variable speed inexpensive one from harbor freight for $39,99, I just bought one with a $30.00 wool pad, I got the pad at Lowes.
Go to Checker or Auto Zone and buy some polishing compound, apply it liberally all over the headlight and put the speed of the buffer on II and buff it back to crystal clear. Its really amazing and the results will blow you away.
Sand the damaged headlight out of the car but buff it installed so it stays put while the buffer is on it, masking tape 1" of the painted surface all around the headlight so you dont hurt the paint.

There was a post about 2 wks ago on the service from a company called doctor headlight, the pics were impressive enough that I sought out the franchise in my area, and I'm having mine done in 2wks. On their web site they also offer mail-in service if you don't have a franchise near you.
