Default PSE hack. need help pls

Okay, I got a c2 3.4 I asked a local welder to make me a PSE hack. Showed him the pics and he did a good job. Problem is, its the wrong hack Didnt notice that it was for a MK II ! wish I can buy a used set of mufflers but im in the Philippines and nobody sells used or new. Do you guys think I can just have them cover up the part that was cut and make a new MK I hack or leave the MKII and add MKI. what would work best? Thanks in advance.

Hey mike, mabuhay. Have you tried combining the MKII with the MKI or have you heard anyone who has done this and how did it end up?

it works...post a pic of your current hack..adding the second pipe will be fine, you can undersize it a little - BTW the 3.4 cans are harder to put the big pipe in if they have that huge seem. I used 3.6 cans

everything you need to know"

https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...-real-pse.html

my poost is about 520? I posted pics... but you will find two types of cans, seemed and capped... the seemed ones seem to get the smaller "J" pipe and the capped oned the larger elbow.. I never saw a reason not to have the elbow on the seemed ones... or put both pipes on one can (there are pics in this monster thread of both.. but you have toi dig thru it)

Im going to need some help guys. My muffler is a 3.4 can with PSE hack MK2. I didnt notice any improvements on the muffler when it was installed so I was thinking to add the MK 1 which I found out was the correct hack for the 3.4 cans. should I do this:

OR this one which has the mod j pipe on the side of the inlet and outlet:

The J pipe (inlet pipe to outlet pipe, like shown in the second URL above) is the only one that Darin Fister does on 3.4 and 3.6 cans now. I had Darin do the mod on my 3.4 cans and they sound incredible! I hear the improvement a little bit with the hardtop on and the windows closed. But with the windows down or with the ragtop, you can really hear it. I just love it!

no pics of what you did?

OK.. before saying there is no differance....have you driven in a covered parking garage or tunnel.... the PSE hack makes a pretty subtle internal cabin noise change and a significant external one...(hense why people like it, the dont go deaf from droning)

so without reading all those MKI and II differances again (since I dont have a 996 anymore and really have forgotten since its been so long ago) draw on a picture using "Paint" and show me what you have...I think the second pic is what you want (J-Pipe) for the 3.4 cans
