Default 2 quick spacer questions

From my searching I see that 5mm spacers don't have nor need the lip for the wheel to sit on. Do 7mm spacers need this lip or will there still be enough meat on the hub for the wheel to sit when the 7mm spacer is in place?

Also can 3mm spacers be used with stock bolts? I'm guessing no.

Before I take a wheel off and measure I thought someone may know of the top of their head. Thanks.

7mm is just enough to be hubcentric, but not enough meat to hang the wheel w/o aid (hands, bolt or holder). I believe this is why Porsche does not make 7mm+ spacers. I would not use stock bolts with any size spacers.

Plus 1

I bought 7 mm H&Rs recently and the best way to do this is putting the wheel carrier that comes with the tool box

5mm spacers (shims) are fine with the original bolts, any spacer bigger than 5 mm requires larger bolts.

here is the 5mm kit from Porsche, they use longer bolts. This is the main reason they went this route instead of using lugs.
