After reading some of the stories here about them coming broken from shipping, I was kind of worried. They really packed them well!!!. Double boxed and well padded. Looking forward to installing these on my next day off.

Hopefully, they work as good as they look and no fogging. They will really set off my guards red 996.

 

My set had water go inside them after a car wash. You probably have to push it up and then tighten it down to prevent that from happening.

 

Might just put some clear RTV silicone on the seams just to be save. They look so nice though.

I got them from RedLine on Amazon. The fit was not that bad. Looks like they new have a resistor box built in. I have a 2000 996 so was not worried. I have no fast blink problem and they look very nice. Great update. Figuring out where the bulb wires went took me more time as they are in different locations than the OEM ones. Overall....best exterior update mod I have done and very cheap. Really updates the rear of the 996. I will rate it 8 out of 10 as there is a little gap at the top. You can see some white wax residue I need to wipe off the right side one. But....very happy and fit with no modifications. Just one bolt to remove the tail light. Very easy.....sorry, car is dirty, was snowing a few days ago and have not washed it.

 

They make a huge difference!!!! Thats for sure! i love mine!

Just ordered the "Smoke/clear" LEDS for my black cab from AUTOALANTA.

 

Sorry guys, just needed to add an update. These are water tight and no fogging, or leaking. After it looks like the last snow of the season, took it through the high pressure wash. All is perfect. I can only speak for the ones I bought and the Amazon seller though. I did read lots of info before I dived into something like this..and am very happy. Funny thing is they are more expensive on EBay and might be inferior to the ones I got. Thanks to the forum for the heads up. Very happy.
