Installing race seat and 5pt harness
I'm looking for any guidance on installing a 5pt harness in a 996 - I have the race seat (a Momo Corse) from my 944, and I have the harness and Sparco harness bar. Has anyone used either Sparco or B-K seat mounts etc to install a race seat into a 996 - and what did you use? How about the bar for the anti-sub strap? And finally, what do you attach the harness to on the inboard side - on the 944 the 3pt belt is attached to the transmission tunnel, but on the 996 it's attached to the seat......any advise appreciated, I need to get the car set up in a week for an upcoming event!

Look at the BK website or OG racing. BK makes the 9003 and 9004 (I think those are the numbers) brackets that bolt into the seatbelt on the floor and the seat (on the tunnel side). BK also has the seat mounting brackets and the sub bar. Can also get the sub bar (Pcar OEM) from Suncoast for $69/each. Do a search in the racing forum and a whole bunch of info pops up. Also.....look at Schroth online. They have a tutorial of how to install a harness. Hope this helps.

If you are just doing DE's you can attach the inboard lap belt onto the seat mounting bracket... If you are going racing you must drill a hole in the tunnel and instal a Eye Bolt...
