Seems like you're off to a good start! And by the way, the more mods you do to the car, the less likely your GF will even want to ride in it, unless she becomes a gearhead.
Good luck,
Chuck
Hopefully she'll want to ride in it. She insisted on taking her VW when we went to the coast and I was dying. All those coastal mountain roads were making me drool.
To be honest it's been fabspeed cats, 2nd gear detent, caliper paint, CAI, and Iphone adapter so far. Maybe a double din and I'll be done.

I should have my GF drive it. One of my fondest memories when I was a kid was going to NYC and seeing a 911. I knew what it was since I grew up on Moter Trend and Road and Track. The young lady driver proceeded to floor it as she changed lanes to pass us. From ~10 mph to 60 in what seemed like 1 second to me! That was about the coolest thing.
So far I've had similar situations but on the other end. The other day I was talking to a 17 year old kid who had his first car (a GTI like I used to have), we talked about cars for about a half hour at the gas station. Two weeks ago one lady out by Bend, Oregon on our trip said "Excuse me!,. My husband wants your car!" lol

I know, what's not going to help is I was thinking about doing a DE here. $200 for 4 or 6 hours class time and a day at PIR. Can't-hardly-resist

I'm picking out a thermos for you Marc !!
OK Ryan, back on topic (and trust me I barely ever get off topic) - what....oh right PRI
$200 SEEMS like a lot and 4-6 hours seems like a little bit of time but the reality of it is the 30 days between track days is WAY to long and you will find $200... and the entry fee is the cheap part....then its mod between events, new fluids, tire temp checker, gloves, helmet, little things...but trust me, its worth the wait and its enough for one day. If your area have skills days they are a good way to fill in the gaps. @ $65 for a full day of lower speed training they are wicked fun and offer a relaxed atmosphere to explore the limits of your car... I have been to over 20 of them and plan to hit everyone this year along with some DE's as funds permit
you are in for a great time since you are smart enough to realize going to the track and getting some professional training is money and time well spent ! - congrats and welcome to the dark side
