Pfft.

He has 3 front bumpers just sitting around. The one with the right front damage is already at the bottom of the pile.

If DE is anything like Ken Block's driving sign me up. LOL I need to sign up and do one. The more I read about revving (heal/Toe) under steering and such about a rear mounted engine, I need to go and take the class.

Thanks for all the input.

You missed a golden opportunity. The Driver's Edge was at MSR-H all weekend. Weather was perfect! FYI, The Driver's Edge has events every month - sometimes two a month. They are really focusing drivers on core competencies to make you better in the long run. Excellent classroom presentations and great on track instruction. I've been instructing with them for 3 or 4 years now - and it's a great crew.

Heh, you missed TWO golden opportunities. I also gave the class on heel-toe 101! It was a presentation on why to do it, how to do it, and the tools you need to learn and practice it. doh!

But remember - no matter what, attend something! The PCA has some local events as well, just not as many, IIRC.

Right. www.thedriversedge.net.

Where PCA is a more of a national club based organization, The Driver's Edge is really a business catering to high performance driving. You'll see more than just Porsches out - we have Ferraris, BMWs, Mercedes, Nissan GTRs, Z06s (and ZR1s), Lotuses [Lotii?] as well as Mustangs, Camaros, Miatas etc etc. There are many more marques in attendance at these events.

It's really a blast.

The next PCA DE event is June 11-12 @ TWS. Registration opens at noon on May 11. Our events sell out within days, so if you want to attend, register at clubregistration.net on May 11. PCA members go to the head of the line for registration for the first week, so if you are not a member, it's worth joining. Membership with PCA pays for itself on the first event. TWS is a kick-a$$ track.

I have a free TWS DE from Porsche of North Houston. How would I sign up with the paper I was given?

Thanks

The LSRPCA Performace school is great. You will put some wear on your brakes and tires. Don't worry about the inspection. It is very informal. No leaks, tires in good shape, and loose stuff out of the car. This means floor mats too.
Urban Living events can be fun too. Just google search urban speed to see some of the cars that show up. PM me and we can talk more.

The next one is May, but I'm pretty sure the beginner run group is full already. You can always try. I'll ping the registrar to find out how to sign up with a DE certificate.

Copper, the good news is that's it's really easy to sign up with a certificate. The bad news is, as Mike mentions, the beginner group for our May 7-8 event is already quite full. Our next event is June 11-12. Registration opens on May 11 at noon. Sign up as quickly as you can and select "Certificate" as your Entry Type.

2. Menu > Search for events > TWS
3. Look for the posting. Like this one.

^That's right. Simple stuff.

If LSR is full, The Driver's Edge is at MSR-C on May 14-15 and at TWS on May 21-22. Both are also getting full. After that, it's HERE (Houston - MSR) June 25-26.
