Thumbs down Design flaw

I have discovered a serious design flaw in the 996 pedal placement on the 6 speed. When I picked it up last weekend, I was wearing flip flops. Flip flops and the clutch aren't compatible.

OK. No problem. Wear dress shoes during the week and I can just wear my deck shoes on the weekend.

Tonight, I had my boots on. Every time I pushed the clutch, I also hit the brake. Grrr.

Now I know what some of you are going to say... But this is the Texas gulf coast. Boots and flip flops are at the vanguard of casual fashion.

I may have to sell the car. I can't abide those little driving bootie things. I'd have to fight my way out of the ice house.

Don't laugh. This is serious.

You'll get used to it. I'm a Texan with size 12 feet. I wear cowboy boots all the time in my 996. I wear flip flops too. You'll get used to it.

I have no problem whatsoever. I think the foot-rest, brake and accelerator pedals are perfectly placed.

Maybe with your size 12s you can get your heel on the floor with the clutch which is my problem I have size 10 EEE feet and the flip flop folds under the pedal when I let it out and my boots are just too wide.

I'll work on it but this could be serious. Just saying.

When I wear flip-flops, I drive barefooted. Size 13 feet. No problems with the wide shoes either. You should get used to it.

I guess you don't need snow shoes in the winter. LOL. For shoes you should just kick a couple of bulls in the butt and walk off. (i assume the rest of you matches your feet so I'm only making fun because there are about 1500 miles separating us)

Ok. If you can fit your feet I guess I can as well.

I am sorry. Cowboy boots and P-cars are not a match to me. I too am from Houston. Actually from Chicago but am a transplant. But if I heard a P-Car with Country music I would be scratching my head. Cowboys and pickup trucks = Yes. Cowboys and P-car / sports cars... Hmm I dont know. I just had a female friend (County music person) who just bought a 2011 Mustang, She even said country music with Muscle cars / sports cars do not go together. so she listen to rock in the car and county in the office.

Sorry Just my opinion. Let the controversy begin.

Peace

You obviously haven't been here long enough. That's how country boys roll.

I like most kinds of music (I don't consider rap and hip hop (or whatever they call ot now) music). My tastes general lean toward classic southern rock, some country, and Texas Roadhouse. Throw in a litlle SRV, ZZ Top, and the occasional Led Zep track and I'm good to go.

Flip flops do not work, easier to go barefoot.

I'm only joking, but let's talk when you've been here another 31 years. .

Most of us are stuck with what we were raised with. I doubt I would change much if I moved to Chicago.

I was born in Seattle and we have webbed feet, they are short so we dont get stuck in the mud - they work OK in the P-Car
