Could still be Astroglide.

light brown could be caused by the dirt it picked up while traveling from the ppoint of origin to the point you discovered it

I sure hope he didn't grab the wrong bottle and use brake fluid or gear oil in the bedroom.

Well, I just did this switch replacement myself and the sucking noise / gurgling happened to me as well. No fluid leaks for me though so I think the sound and fluid are unrelated.

Im sure once you look under there youll find the culprit.... Im thinking in the area where you last touched is the culprit.

Changed my reverse switch as well..... yup sucking noise with a gurgle and no leak.

I dont know for sure.. I know ac lines are up there. But they shouldnt be that fragile.. unless you were crankin on the switch and didnt realize the pressure you were putting on the lines... But even then they would bend not generally break.

Did you check the AC op yet?

is the switch a "pipe thread" - maybe its just not tight?

The switch looks like this. I'm pretty sure it needs to be a little tighter. I snugged it up when installing but didn't want to crank on it. I think a little more zaftig past tight should do it. Glad to hear that others had the same gurgling sound.

Did the switch come with a copper or alloy washer - or did you bolt it to the case without one?
