Default What else could go wrong...

Got into my '99 Porsche C2 this am , started it up and a huge plume of smoke came out along with a nasty sound that I have never heard before. Oil on the garage floor, and the engine sound is similar to a tin can with marbles in it. So, I restarted the engine, more smoke and noise, even after revving the engine for 10 minutes or so. I drove it to work (35 miles) in the snow. My transmission is barely engaging any gear without crunching and the clutch is so hard to engage. Dash lights are blinking along with CEL and as I approached my office, I slid into my bosses new BMW and damaged my front end and his driver's side completely, and he witnessed the whole thing.Anyone else having these issues today?

Had it at "even after revving the engine for 10 minutes or so."
Told my kids this morning that the school board forgot about a holiday and there was no school today, you should have seen the look of disapointment when they figured out it was April fools day!

Barn-ey's too smart to start up after the initial grenade. BUT I thought the "he witnessed the whole thing" was a brilliant stroke. Well done!

Nor was it meant to be, especially to those who have suffered catastophic failures.
