O M G !!
yesterday I had the horible and no doubt very costly opportunity to take a track prepped '75S out for a few minutes around the Autocross - I am screwed!! The experience forever sent me spiraling into the abiss of heading towards a lighter more raw car.....
If you have the chance DONT DO IT !!
(you will not want your car back and you will be looking for more ways to increase the "mod budget" - poor family will NOT be getting a few of the things they "thought" they needed, like food and stuff !! )
Heed my warning - if you "like" your car - dont drive one that is more raw

There's nothing like firing up your car and being treated to a 100 decibel start up sound that rattles windows and lets everyone within a mile know: "Here is a race car"
Puts a smile on my face every time. Sure the 4S might be slower than a 997 or an E92 M3, but it is 100 times the fun.

Buy the track car, and that pesky "family" problem will take care of itself.
Yep put a bed in the garage now.
Just take everything out of your car and put the futon you'll sleep on in the garage in the car when you have riders. Better yet, since they are added weight make them suffer.
I wouldn't be so sure that you would be able to stay in the garage, maybe get your self a good tent, camping stove, etc., then the budget for the "new, raw" baby would be much bigger. Looks like you just got your skis waxed and the run down that slippery slope will be a fast one!!!! You're in trouble now!
drive a Track Prepped car!!!

Just wait untill you drive a more modern track prepped car....
Just wait untill you drive a more modern track prepped car....
my point is more about driving any car that is setup for track over any car that is not... the differance rather you are into old or new will be one that will haunt you....you are correct....modern are also amazing!
the same type of data is why I often try to shy people away from suspension upgrades that done go very far.... more is better!! (esp when more is not "too much" )
