It's been about... 20 years
Hi all,
When I was a kid, I had this poster on my bedroom wall (and as of a few weeks ago, I now do again).
Like the kid in the "do you have a business card" ad:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4oGZF-Il7-M
it took me a while but I finally made it.
After lurking on the boards here for a while I finally sold my S2000 and picked up a new-to-me 2003 C4. White with grey full leather, picked it up in NorCal over the weekend and drove it home to Santa Barbara on Tuesday.
PPI was clean, 75K miles on original clutch, I might do that+IMS soon (clutch is still fine, it's the IMS worries that'd motivate me). For now though, I'm just going to drive it like I stole it.
If it were black or grey, I'd have pumpkin replacements on order already, but I don't mind the orange on white as much. I guess we'll see. I'd like to get a new HU for iPod/BT hookup (haven't researched options there yet). Maybe aluminum pedals, or silver gauges or black wheels or... well, in all honesty, it's pretty sweet as it is.
Anyhow, I couldn't leave without some pics so here goes:

Dog likes it, but probably will be happier once it quits raining and I store the hard top:

and a few more fun shots in the rain:

1st Welcome!
2nd The box of tissues next to the pic of the Porsche is a bit disturbing
3rd A narrow body 2003 C4 vert? Is that a U.S. Car?
I understood that the 02 and later C4 cars were all C4S cars. Am I confused?

Welcome aboard and congrats on the accomplishment. I think we all have experienced our 1st Porsche after years of dreaming.
I love the whites. Very rare to me to see them around. Love the interior

Beyond that, it's a pretty normal c4 cab. Interior is full leather with the crests in the headrests and the seat heaters (these were a wife-based requirement!) and all that. No navi or pcm or any of that. I guess it's got headlight washers, though Santa Barbarians such as my self have little use for those.
