Fabspeed intake and new rims and tires going on tmw.
Really did not like the rims one it, just wanted something that was not over the top, 18" and a tad bit wider in the rear. I figure the intake might take me 45 min tops to install if I can't find all my sockets. Personally, I am happy with these. The tires on the OEM rears were bald as heck, and not good for Colorado.
OEM rims with bald rears
New ones....just staying with the OEM type look. Got a good deal on the package.
Installing tomorrow if I have some time....might not...might just drive and go to the shooting range and save it for tomorrow.

For the fronts, the rims were 18x8 with 225/40/18
Rears: 18x10 with 265/35/18
Tires are General Exclaim. The entire package shipped mounted and balanced came to $1411.00
Not a bad deal at all from Tirerack.
Here are a few pics. Hopefully I will have time to install the Fabspeed intake tomorrow. Just happy I have good tires now. Need to get an alignment next.

Thanks much. I wanted the traditional style. Not my first Porsche, traded in a modified Dinan E46 BMW. Just bought some new Bremmer rims for the wifes Audi A6. Keeping the 996 pretty much as is, just wanted the updated 18" rims and wider rears.
Pics of the old car I traded in:
Owned German cars for many decades. 20 year military vet. Not going this far on the 996...just keeping it simple.

Thanks for the nice comment on the E46....did all the work myself...just wanted a change. Right now just started seeing a oil leak mid way car on the 996....I think I know what it will be. Still, happy with the car. I like the 911 being simple, for what it is. Miss the traction control though in Colorado. The new tires and rims work great....big difference. No more fishtails in 3rd...the rear tires were totally bald, looked like slicks.
