This was one of my first mods, too. A great upgrade IMHO. Did you also order the cigarette lighter plug with the no smoking sign on it? It's 996.652.103.00 and like $5.

I saw that as a package combo on eBay, however, I like this much better. It's almost flush.

Thanks. I ended up buying one in this weekend right after I picked up my car. I was in Florida with a 11 hour drive home so I wanted to be sure i could charge my iPhone if needed.

I love the look! In saying that I'm a moron when it comes to projects like this. From the pictures I don't see where screws would go??? It looks completely seemless to me....am I missing something???

Regardless I'm buying one!

Great idea. While I was ordering the NS Shelf from Suncoast, I also ordered the "upper shelf" to replace that stupid CD holder. Just bought a 2003 Turbo with 21k miles. I see the charger thing is a Best Buy product. The things one can learn on Rennlist! Thanks

After considering this, IMO, it looks better with the ashtray. Classier and cleaner. It looks like a Mazda with the change hole.

I bought a new rear center console so I could paint it Aluminum look. I was going to order the ashtray delete also, but after looking at these photos, I think the Aluminum look actually looks better with the ashtray. If anyone who has done the ashtray delete wants to sell their old ashtray module. please pm me. I've never done any serious painting so I'd rather have my old console (and ashtray) as a fall back.

You can get them painted also or paint it when you paint the center console
