The idea is not to run the oil until it loads up with wear metals but to change it before wear metals show up.

The oil is the sacrifical item in the engine/oil pairing.

LOL I agree, I left the floormat in the driveway of the last owner, and thanked him for using the such a big rubber matt and keeping the original looking brand new for me!!

Guys, How long does it normally take for the test kit from Blackstone to show up once requested? I never got a chance to change the oil in Dec before putting the car away, and would like to do it before driving it now that the snow is almost gone.
Is it OK to save some oil in a glass jar and then transfer it to the bottle they send when it arrives?
