Talking Childhood dream achieved ! :)

I accidentally posted something similar up on the 911 board and was quickly schooled that I posted in the wrong area. So here it goes again.

This weekend I achieved a childhood dream and became the owner of this 2003 996 C2 with 32700 miles on her. I can't tell you how excited I am. I've learned a lot on this board and looking forward to learning more and more about this great car. I'm looking forward to a long and fun ownership.

Funny that it was claimed that your 996 was not a 911.... it is! :-)

Jon, yeah I didn't want to get into it with him, I very much consider mine a 911 But I guess the air cooled guys run a little hot in the head so I let it be. I am just so excited to be an owner finally.

btw this is my gift to myself for enduring 2 years of chemo for my 6 year old daughter, who is in remission. Life is short and you never know what's going to happen, and you can't take it with you.

A BIG double congratulations on that along with excellant color & wheel choice on one of the best 911's made & smartest purchase. recommend you get the Porsche 996 the essential companion book to minimize expenses & maintain your 996. Might make a great college graduation gift for your daughter!
