Default Windshield Cracked

Some idiot tried to warm his 996 today after a month of driving his Cayenne. I have a big crack in my windshield, BIG. Epic big. I just started her and put on the heat.

Good news is I need to get rid of all the pitting and scratches, and my insurance covers it.

Anyone know a good Porsche glass guy on Long Island?

Just did my Cayenne today but it was a NJ guy who repaired, did a perfect job.

I would love to replace the glass on my 911, I think they make that glass out of play dough the way it Pitts.

+1 Don't take it to the dealer whatever you do. The dealer doesn't replace the glass....they hire Safelite or the "guys in the little red trucks".

You probably just jinxed yourself by saying that. You won't really know how good of a job your guy did until you see if the inside of the windshield ices up when it gets real cold out.
