Default new rubber for spare tire

would like to replace the tire on the spare of 99 996
it is the 105/95 R 17.
any ideas beside dealer where to purchase?
will any other size work on c2 cab?

you will might not find that thru normal tire suppliers. Maybe you can try the used market. I sold my complete spare and tool kit for only $150.00.

Check the for sale section.

I never found any dealer that sells the tire, only new ones from porsche.

OKPOPS,
This question came up some time in the past year. Use the search function to hunt for it. I do not recall the final conclusion, but most of the early responses were similar the ones you have here.

Look at the sidewall for the manufacturer and contact them directly.

Let us know how it goes. There are others interested in the responses to this since spares for '99's are now 12 years old.

I have a spare tire and wheel (converted to a race car no longer need a spare). $150 plus shipping if you care.

Buy it... It is cheaper then locating a brand new one. These spares do not go bad if they were stored correctly.

A couple of months back, Excellence magazine did a article on replacing the spare rubber. They were unable to find any replacement tires.
