Default Single DIN Install Question

Has anyone installed a single DIN receiver in the 3rd compartment from the top in the center stack (the CD Tray compartment)? Thinking of installing the Pioneer AVH-5200BT with the flip-up screen. Thinking I would change the 2nd compartment into another pocket, if possible. Any pics or insight on this type of install would be appreciated. Thanks.

BTW - I know this is a MOST setup, so no need for discussion here, as I'm ripping out the amp and rewiring as well...

if it fits you can do it, and you can do anything you want as long as you are going to be building it all custom from scratch.

be careful as the MkII models are wired to the amp via fiber optics (MOSFT) so if you will have to also get an amp, you might even have to replace all speaker as they have very specific impedance that is not hardly compatible with the common amplifier you will find.

But do some serious search. unfortunately not any good DIY on the subject to convert a fiber optic car into a custom install. If you find any, post them here, I am sure people will be interested.

yes as a matter of fact you can break out of the radio and go to a normal amp. there is a new component that takes the fiber signal and converts it to rca or normal output. You have to go check at car stereo shops to find it. i dont know what it costs but probibly expensive
