Look for the OEM Porsche logo on the wheel. Only OEM wheel suppliers are Permitted to put that Porsche part logo on their products. And don't forget to retorque all of your front and rear suspension components several times a year. Otherwise, you risk catastrophic failure of the suspension. The 996 is not designed to handle the stress of a 19 inch wheel/tire.

please explain.....

I thought it was designed around the 25" rad of the tire.... not so much the wheel.

Thanks for the advice. I think you told me this once before in another thread (I recognize your avatar) so I contacted my local suspension specialist to have him look over the suspension. I haven't gotten around to that yet, but it is on my to do list.

FWIW - I believe that the wheels on my car (1st post) have a OD of 25.5".

yea, I'm not sure I believe 19' will tear all your bolts loose any more than 18' with the same overall 9within reason) diameter tire..

some track doods might have data but my guess is that unless you track it hard and heavy you wont be seeing bolts fall out

Actually, I went over a small bump in the road the other day and one of the suspension bolts shot a hole right through the top of the fender. Nothing a little Bondo and Loctite can't fix though.

Damn those 19's!

Would be, if the car wasn't in the shop for a squeal coming from the engine somewhere.

Nice day. I may need to have an out-of-office meeting. Maybe back roads to the airport. Hm-m-m.
