Wink 996 locking fault

I have a 2000 996 with a central locking /alarm fault can you help?
The car will occasionally lock itself with the keys in the ignition, even whilst driving. When it does there is a beep from the horn and the interior central lock button on the dash flashes. Its intermittent (great). The code reader says drivers door lock barrel.
Any advice or clues?
Thank you.

hmmm, try unplugging the switch and run with it disconnected. Sounds like a connection/grounding issue in the circuit.
