Default Doors won't fully close (battery is out for winter)

Folks -

Newbie Mawgie here. Couldn't find the answer with Search........

My '02 Carrera Coupe is in a storage unit for the winter. There is no battery in the car. I opened the doors today to roll the car around in the unit and reposition it. When finished, the doors wouldn't close all the way. Is this simply because there is no battery to roll the windows down a little and/or run the actuators?

Fix is simply to take the charged battery over and temporarily connect it to get electrical power to get the doors closed, right?

(Yes, I did leave the trunk propped slightly open!)

Thanks.

Cool

You are correct on all points.

Absolutely normal. Just connect the battery long enough to close the doors.

Store the car in neutral, and block the wheels. No need to open the doors. This is better for the tranny and brakes/rotors too. And eliminates the slight potential that the ebrake cable set stuck, or a pads fuzes to the rotor.

Does the storage faciltiy have an overhead light bulb. Here is your power source for a battery maintainer....hint hint.

its the window... they haven't dropped and is hitting the rain gutter... just push the window inward to try to squeeze it under the guard.... Or am I way off?
