Have a buddy there who needs a competent shop that installs for Tire Rack.

The tire rack site lists shops that work with them with reviews.

Yeah, but I'm interested in Porsche owner's opinions, not some guy who put Firestones on his Camry.

do your homework - my last set of tires resulted in a bent rim (of course it wasn't shared with me)

Go over to 6Speed's mid-atlantic sub-forum. There has been discussion on this topic.

I had no idea there were special skills needed to change a Porsche tire.

I have used Tire Van before a couple of times. They hand torqued all lugs at my request (no impact gun). They also have road force balancing and will spin the tire on the rim to avoid adding too many weights to balance. They did not scratch any of my rims.

I just had a set of 4 snow tires shipped from TR and put on my Cayenne at ASG, in Merrifield. I've also had them do tire work on my 996, and been happy in both cases.

They're pretty much P-cars only.

I just had TireVan install a set from Tire Rack yesterday - they did a great job and I thought the $120 price was reasonable considering they came to my office.
