Default Total 911 Magazine

Gents,

The current issue of "Total 911" magazine has a very thorough analysis of the truths and fallacies about the IMS problem, its root cause, an estimate of how many cars it will affect and 5 things you can do to minimize the chance of a problem.

Take a look at it. It really is a pretty good article.

OK, I hate to be stupid, but is the article there, or just the headline? I saw the cover and read the headline of each of the major articles. Sounds nice, but I have to buy the magazine to see it? From England? Really?

They have an IPAD version guys, but Excellence and total 911 have both published articles on it this year already. Same answers as always (too late for those whose engines blew and didn't get a new engine for free)

Yes, unfortunately you have to buy it to see it. They don't have this article on their site.

That being said "Total 911" is a fantastic magazine. Well worth the subscription price even if you do have to occasionally deal with the editor's (Philip Raby) clear anti 996 bias.

I am also a "GT Porsche" fan. More than "Total 911."

I can scan it and post it if you want. I have the copy here. Nice pics and diagrams of the engine and failed parts.

Just finished reading on their iPad app. Good overview with excellent illustrations. Interestingly they estimate the failure rate at approximately 5 percent.

I have seen it at the local Barnes & Noble but not consistently. Otherwise, I would try the E-mag version. Really a top notch publication. I buy all these rags when traveling in ASIA and Europe so I have something to read in the car or on an airplane.

My wife is bugging me about getting rid of my old magazines. PM me your mailing address and I will recycle it if you want them.

Cool

I easily find all three of the British magazines at my local Barnes & Noble. Each tries to be focused a bit different than the other two. They frequently have the same articles at the same time about the new cars.

I subscribe to Excellence, and cherry pick the other three.
