VW says they want the beatle to appeal go to men as well as women (core market in the past) and the revealed silouhette suggest a move to mush the lines between a porsche and a Beatle.

I've never been too concerned with the whole "chick car" idea. One of our cars is an '03 New Beetle Turbo that was purchased new. In the 7 years we've owned it, the car has been the most reliable, least expensive to maintain car that I have ever owned.

The pics of the new one definitely seem to have a Panamera influence.

It doesnt reseamble the 911 but it looks better than the older style beetle. I wouldn't buy one. Plus, I bet it still comes with a flower in the front dash.

Beattle does look squashed. I'd say the audi looks like a boxer or 911. Kind of hard to tell when they only show up in the rear view mirror.
