996 headlamps are they all burned?

yeah for once an american car co did somethign better than the German.... On my Old Fiero and corvette the light assemblies came apart and you could replace any part of it.. This sucker is sealed up tight.

From that pic it looks like a "standard" 7" or 5" American bulb in the housing?? Mine has the litronics and looks different.
With replacements costing $$$$. I think if you can heat these things in the oven to 200 degrees and replace/repair leaky lenses that you might be able to heat it up, pluck it apart, and try a fix before shelling out $500.
