I really doubt 996 (turbo or normally aspirated) would be a collector car.
There were just too many made.

big huge +1 GT3 maybe, and that's a big maybe.

996TT. USes the 993 Lower Engine Block...upgraded components and very solid. Even my repair shop says it is a great engine.

Since you are looking at a 996 regardless...all the wear parts will be about the same (with exception of the rear spoiler).

I have the TT as you can see and it is just awesome.

I opted to be part of the big butt club, but determined I couldn't afford the extra tickets with the turbo. Also, something about the smooth backside just seems more pleasing to the eye. Been happy ever since I made the decision.
