I wanted to do a tune up on the 996 so i started this morning at 10h00.

the job was pretty straight forward but i had trouble with the rusty bolts around the mufflers area OMG

at least 4-5 bolts broke but im not using them anymore as i will install bypass mufflers.

the 3 bolts that hold the bracket to muffler, that was hard, really rusty, small area, real pain,

also, the bad new is that 5 out 6 coils are cracked, some really badly,
should i buy 5 new or 6 ??? suncoast or sunset for best price?

i dont know if some of you had an hard time removing the coil near the sensor on the passenger side. The bracket is so much in the way, but i finally got it hehe .


next jobs:

remove the sparkplugs
flush engine oil
cats removal to install bypass cat

Get all six then you won't have to think about them again for 90k kms.

also, when removing the cats, are we using back the gaskets?
and the sensors in the cats, do i remove them with the cats still in place?
or i disconnect them from the engine(clips) and leave them in the cats?
