Join the club. Can't find anything on the frequincy used or schematic. I don't have a frequincy counter to sniff the freq. I've got plenty of ham radio gear but not a sniffer. Normally its capacitors that dry out that causes failures in gear like this. But I also suspect since it isn't from american band plans of freqs that the FCC just sold the portion of the band the old key fobs use. 6 of one, half a dozen of the other.
One time I could of sworn the remote would work only the first time used every time after I would close the fob up after having it opened up. For a while it seemed the angle of pressing my thumb made a difference. Now it just doesn't work and I don't care. Gives me more reason to use the key held in the unlock position to roll the windows down to get the heat out before getting in.
Good luck.

If you want to be able to use the key lock/unlock function you are probably going to have to get a new key head/transmitter and have the dealer program it.
I got mine from Sunset in Oregon for under $100 and had my local dealer program it for $125. Most dealers will charge $200+ for the transmitter and then another $125 to program it. Some dealers will program the head as part of the purchase price. If you get a replacement head from another source make sure that uit has the bar code tag attached or they will not be able to program it.

For the cost of a couple-a-hundred American I think I can slum it and stick the key in the lock. I don't like compromising my lifestyle like that but would rather put that cash into the suspension.
