Anyway, another price drop to $25k.
They are. You just missed a 45K fantastic example of a GT3 offered and sold this past week in the GT3 forum.

Yup. If you (general) are in the market for a GT3, that was one to jump on. There is a reason why it went in the same week. Good history and proper pricing. The ones that are priced in the mid to high 50's are sitting. Mid 40s to low 50s is the market for the GT3 right now.

Thanks again guys.

That would've been in range, but I am not in the market for a red car so that would've ruled it out. Also, buying a GT3 before selling my current car would mean having ~$70k tied into two cars. As I look at real estate prices, perhaps that wouldn't be a rational move? But hey you only live once.

I guess I will list the car on Autotrader. I figured I was asking a very fair price and it'd move quickly. I've had a few people call about it (strangely when I was asking almost $2k more), alas nobody followed through.

I think your price is very fair it's just so much supply of 996 on the used market these days that's working against you.

Similiar thing happened a few years ago when I was trying to sell my wife's e46 BMW where I found my self competing against 500+ models on ebay and 300+ on cars/autotrader.

Hang in there, all it takes is that one buyer...

Not sure where you all tried to sell it.. But on Porsche boards isnt the place. We already have one.
Autotrader is where I sold my 928 and I pulled way over expected money for it. In fact teh first real buyer that to look at it bought it.. He was about the 100th caller and the second one to actually look at it.

I still have it!

I'm going to make an autotrader ad today I think, probably price it around $26k. Autotrader's listing guide says to ask $28,900... I'm down to $25k on Rennlist, but no biters yet.

The autotrader ad is up, price is listed as $26k. I've had a few emails but nobody to look at it yet. Perhaps I need new pictures...

you may want post the link to the ad in your first post so others can here can view it.
Always good to link the carfax report as well. Is the car still on it's original clutch?
Has the IMS been upgraded yet?

Why would he upgrade the IMS? its not like its part of owning a 911 to automatically upgrade the IMS

It's a good selling point though.
