Hungry remote
My remote seems to have a voracious appetite for batteries. It all started a few weeks ago when my remote worked fine in the morning to unlock the car then took a little coaxing to lock. Later in the day I replaced the battery and it was fine. A few days later same thing happened. It was working fine, light flashed as it should but not locking/unlocking any more. Thought to my self that maybe the battery was bad so I tried another. Same story, worked for a few days then dead. At first the light would flash, I guess there wasn't enough juice to send out the signal and now there is no life at all.
Has anyone ever heard of this before?

Yep. I think its the buttom or electronics not functioning. Unless you are testing the battery its a plug and play thought thinking the battery is dead when the light doesn't always come on.
I've never seen any mention of what frequincy the remotes use. I know germany and america have different band alocations of the radio frequincies. I could just be key fobs are in a heavy radio traffic region. FCC sells all the freqs thats for sure. They have even wanted to take away ham radio operator freqs.
Thought I saw a do it yourself semi fix for the remotes where the antenna in the roof pilar is pulled out of insulation and secured on the closest to the side of the car side so that the remote works easier.
