Default I want to buy wheel spacers

I want to add whel spacers to my '99. What size from and rear do I buy, 15, 16, 17, 22mm etc. Hub-centric, what size lugs?

If anyone has a set that is for sale, let me know.

Here's a pic of how the car looks right now.

You basically have to visualize how many mm's you'd like the wheel to come out.

Depends also on your current et's. IIRC, most guys with standard wheels have done 13, 14 or even 15mm front spacers.

As for the rears, I think some have done the same size spacers, but again depends on your current rear offset and "adding" the spacer thickness vis a vis how far out you want the wheel to line up to the rear fender.

good luck, it makes a very nice improvement. If you're considering upgrading to different wheels, some already come with the aggressive offsets so that you won't have to add spacers..
fty's Victor Zehn's come to mind.

Hello add four 17 mm spacers so the structure remains unchanged. If you have 20 bolts for spacers 15 to 17 mm for sale.

I suggest:

14mm up front and 7mm at the back
stock bolts (lugs) are 45mm, so you need 50mm and 60mm long new ones. Fronts = hubcentric, rears = standard plates.... if 7mm in the rear seems too tame, up it to 14mm

But with 14 front and rear 7 does not change the handiness of the car?

might offer a tad more oversteer but IMO 95% wont be able to tell...on street there is no noticable change - even aggressive (not wise) street

Funny that you bring that topic up as I just added spacer on my car yesterday.

I purchased two 14mm spacer from FVD brombacher for my 2003 996 C2 front axle. The spacer themselves are amde out of a very nice piece of hardware and came with the longer bolts.

It looks a little better but I might have preferred the 7mm. 14mm is kind of aggressive. So far handling is similar, but I might require a new alignment as I feel a very slight jiggle, but really I am picky. Definitely don't go above 14mm or it will look total boy racer.

See some pics below.

I have the bra because driving on the highway in Phoenix is like being subjected to enemy fire. Rocks hit my car every day, and never mention all the crap that flies out of the back of the pickups that fly by me as I'm driving 75 on the highway. Its old school and so an I.

azrob,

Didn't you have an SC? If so, why did you sell and how do you like the 996 compared to the SC? I've thought about buying a water cooled model...

I did have a really nice SC. I sold it because I needed a car to use as a daily driver. I'm lucky to have found the '99 in the pic. If you didn't know Pcars you'd swear it a one year old car. The car is in showroom mint condition and is a blast to drive. YES get one, its my 2nd '99 and I love the car.
