Great looking car. But what do you mean by "new engine 1k miles ago"?

great looking ride with a nice color combo.

Is the car Certified pre owned? if not, does the engine have a 2 year unlimited mile warranty since it was replaced?

Enjoy!

Nice.

Did you buy private, or Porsche dealershp? CPO?

Why was the engine replaced?

I like the color combo. I had a black 911 aero with tan interior. I am fond of that combo. I remember some guy sitting in my car one day and saying to me "I'm not really big on the black and tan combo." I didn't really know the guy that well, and he was certainly not driving around in a 911. I was so surprised by his willingness to express his opinion on my color combo, that I think I responded by saying "that's why they make vanilla ice cream, and that's why they make chocolate."

I would never say that to someone no matter how I felt about it. I would only say positive things to a new car owner, or at least keep the negative opinions to myself. I still think that was weird.

I digress. Anyway, very nice car! Congrats

I would say with that interior the amberectomy was optional. Plus I like the black and amber combo. On my red C4S the amberectomy was not an option

Thanks for the kind words, guys. The engine had an intermix problem, and was replaced by Porsche about 1500 miles ago. I think it happened, the PO had it fixed, and then turned around and traded it in on a 7series Beemer. Kind of odd, I agree, but oh well. It was purchased from a Porsche dealership, as the BMW dealership is owned by the same chain. No CPO. Now the warranty on the engine is what has me confused. The Porsche dealership that did the replacement said it is transferable, but my local dealership is saying it isn't. I just hope I don't have to worry about it!

Great car. Like everyone else you are going to enjoy it very much.

Now for the future. During winter guys post pictures of their cars out in the snow. Newer modern digital cameras like SLR's have white balance and things that can be adjusted. I'm not sure how you will be taking pictures but please make sure you have everything perfect. Some people need coaxing to get their cars out in winter. You can be the savior hehehe. Anyway I'm looking forward to seeing some great pictures of your C4 treating the snow like the car was designed to ie ripping it up. Just check youtube for Porsche C4 snow videos.

PS new Mcquires or other good car wash soap and waxes yet?

PSS I saw a little blurb on the alamanacs and during the conversations they mentioned how this winter will probably colder than usual. Not sure if that will include rains with ice or lots of snow but enjoy how ever the days go this winter.
