Default Ebay Bypass Pipes

So, I thought i would give it a shot and buy these ebay bypass pipes. I finally got them and they fit like crap... It seems like they are hanging too low. The gap between the tip and the bumper is huge. Is there a way to adjust the pipe they connect to? Any ideas?

Does this just bypass the mufflers or the cats, or both? Seems like it'd be way too loud regardless?

Anyway, it looks like you can just twist the tips to point up quite a bit more to fill the gap, but likely the angle's going to be off. If your motor mounts are in good shape, indeed they appear not to be the best fit.

Got mine from eBay as well, but havnt installed em yet. The bypass pipes seem to be level whether from bay or fabspeed. If all is good w ur mounts, u always have the option of going to a muffler shop and have the bent. I wonder how mine will fit :/

I think you are looking for more adjustment then there would ever be. How do they sound? Could you shorten the pipe before the bend and look for a "s" to put in its place? Just a thought.

They sound okay. I think they sound a bit more raspy than having nothing there at all. But not quite as loud. I basically bought them for the looks.

I have these on my track car... They fit that way (as do the Fabspped version) The location is a function of the cat. pipes. Should you really want them closer to the bumper... then, a trip to the muffler shop for an extra tweak. These things are loud for a DD.

I've been driving around for a week without mufflers... It just adds a little more excitement to my 3 mile drive everyday. They arent that loud. ( I used to work around jet engines all day, a flat six motor is nothing)

Many people do not appreciate the increased tone. My car was driven to clients (3 hr drive) and would be enjoyable... Clients did not like riding around town in it.

I have to agree, I have one neighbor that has a loud car, I don't enjoy hearing it every time he arrives or leaves his house...

I went out to the muffler shop and they were cutting and welding to get them to look a little bit better. I will post pics.
