Don't you hate it when...
You're driving along with the sunroof and windows open, come to a stop light and hear the most god-awful rattling and clattering sounds.
Your heart jumps as you think this must be the dreaded IMS bearing failure - but then you realize it's the radiator fan of the American Melmoth behind you hitting something in his engine compartment! (It was a Caprice Classic Wagon, actually.)
Damn hunks of junk on the road! No better excuse to accelerate briskly and make sure he's not behind me at the next light...

Yup, this happens to me regularly! Usually, there is some old truck or van behind or next to me, and as soon as I hit the gas, he does the same, and I wonder what could be wrong with my car!
I don't normally worry about anything going wrong but any new noise is always suspect.

And to think I was going to post about driving my Caprice Classic Wagon to work this morning and the guy ahead of me in his 996 that kept speeding away from the stoplight.
Valve clicking gets me wondering if its my cars sounds reflecting off the car next to me or the other car. One car was so bad behind me when I move forward the noise lowered lowered so I thought it was a reflection of my cars noise but it was a thrashed car behind me I got further away from.
