Default Suspension parts lifespan - miles, or time?

With my suspension creaking and squeaking, I was wondering if shocks/struts, springs, etc wear by just supporting a car for 10 years - even though I have only 22k miles?

Yeah, when it warms up, it sounds like something needs to be lubed! Before it warms up (like when my mechanic probably drove it), it doesn't creak or moan.

Does the engine heat cause faulty bushings to make noise?

Sounds like it's in the rear. When I go over a speed bump, I hear it when the front goes over, probably because of the stiff body that transmits the movement to the rear right away?

If it is in the rear, does that change the diagnosis?

I know the front LCA's being worn out is "fairly" common, not sure about the rears they suffer that same fate, but most likely if you can get a friend to push up and down on the body while you are under it with a screwdriver stuck to your ear...(the handle end ) you can poke around and pinpoint the source

What about the tie rods? I read a thread where everything was replaced, only to find the inner tie rod was causing a creak in the suspension.
