I test drove a 02 911 cabriolet yesterday that had perforated leather seats. It was around 85 degrees and humid. After driving with the top up my back was extremely sweaty. I then put the top down and got even more sweaty. The car was black and the interior was black. Is the perforated part of the seat leather and is it normal for your back tosweat like that? Would the full leather seats make more difference? Or how about a different color seat?

Forced air cooled perforated seat backs is the only way to cool your back on a hot day in a black car with black interior.

Excuse my ignorance but is that a porsche option? Or is it something you purchase elsewhere?

I have the perforated sport seats in my 996 and and i like that they are not plush (plush seats show wear quicker) and the sport seats have a reall nice snug feel. They are real leather, and black leather seats will always be hot, just let the car cool down and then get in them.
