Default Shattered headlight part

Following a recent hour on I-10 I discovered a broken part on the bi-zenon headlight lens. The broken part is a chrome-colored, oval disc that is inserted in the plastic lens. It appears to be a cover for some type of module.

Can anyone identify this part better and where to buy a replacement without buying the whole headlight assembly?
