MK2 exhaust tips on MK1 996?
I searched but could not find anything related to this topic. I am just curious to see if anyone has tried this swap? Can it be done? I am not even sure that the MK2 tips can fit between the rear bumper cutout for the tips to postrude cleanly without rubbing... Any pics would be great. Thanks all.

They wont fit....fabspeed may make what your looking for though.

MKII tips (2002-2004) tips will fit MKI (99-01), they will just protrude out further (about 1.5"). FWIW: looks okay from the side view..

They will attach but you have the wrong bumper cutout so they won't fit "properly".

I agree you shouldn't do it either as I now have Tequipment tips for MKI and couldn't be happier!
