Picked my wife up from in NYC after a work event she had to attend, one of her co-wrkers asked if my Cayenne was a new Hyundai Santa fe.... I simply replied "yes" but than another one corrected her and spoiled my fun.

No love for those guys, I'm afraid. And as of this week, no love for BMW Toronto, either. My wife took her MINI in for a CEL. After a compression test, the service manager told her the head was warped, likely from overheating, and concocted an elaborate tale about how the tailpipe was a dead giveaway that it was burning coolant. Wanted almost $3,000.
Except it had never overheated, and there had been no coolant loss. Took it to my indie. Carbon build-up, a known MINI issue, confirmed with a bore scope (and a cooling system pressure test, just in case). Motorvac restored compression.
I understand that the flat rate business model has its limitations, but it doesn't excuse making sh*t up. (Sorry for the slight OT)

I was at a local dealership last year for my annual service, where the service rep informed me that there is a leak from the valve covers.
I asked more details and she went on to draw the engine on the car picture on their inspection sheet to show me where the leak is.
First she draws the engine at the front and I tell her that that's not where the engine is.
She grudges and draws it where the rear seats are.
I decided there is no point in saying anything - besides it was covered under warranty, but I was really disappointed by their know-how... And those clowns only deal with Porsche's....

My 40th actually has the 911 designation on the back.
I have had 2 people on different occasions ask me if the car was made in memorial of Sept 11th.
Boy o boy.
"No, the car is in recognition that the 911 has been produced for 40 years. Since 1964."
Then I get the usual. "OOOOHHHHHH?!?!?"

Now you can reply:
Yes, and I'm outraged that some Muslims want to build a mosque in my trunk!!
