Default OT: Removing Clear Bra

Just picked up a 2006 Touareg V10 with 34k miles.

Previous owner put on clear bra. He said he did it himself. Film does not go all of way to edge. Edges of film seem to be turning black or are dirty.

Not sure if I like it. From a distance you can see the black lines.

How difficult is it to remove?

But the point remains, is it really necessary to remove a clear one?

Could be a good hair dryer would help soften the layer up. I don't advise a heat gun because paint is what they are designed to bubble off.

Check the clear bra manufacturer websites for info to remove the things.
