Default Houston mechanic recommendation

Hi guys, a buddy of mine has a 996 cab with a leaking hydraulic cylinder on the top mechanism. The dealer has quoted something like $1400 for the repair and $900 of that is parts.

Do you have any recommendations for a Houston mechanic who can help him out for a better price?

Sorry - I wasn't very clear. The leaking hydraulic cylinder is in the mechanism for the convertible top. Basically he has a cab that he can't convert!

Protechniks, Rennsport (in Sealy), and Porsche West Houston are all good options in the Houston area.
