Nice drive to get to know your car!
Did you try and run her up through the Prairies?
Enjoy it and welcome!

Thanks everyone

It needs 4 new tires. Apparently...putting almost 6000 kms on in 8 days ended what little rubber was left on the rears...

Sooooo...4 Hankooks are being orders.

Other than that, turn marker bulb is the only thing it needs for safety.

They are replacing the oil pressure switch under warranty for me...so I like that.

Really Topaz?...this "specific" car? cool....I'd love to know any details he could give me on it. Like was he the only owner? etc...

Here's a better pic of it

Ya i'm pretty sure it's that specific car. He had a chrome lisence plate frame that said Carrera on it. And he had a red lock thingy on the steering wheel. Also would always tot around the two toddlers with two baby seats in the back. Very good guy. he was not the original owner though...

If you need more info just PM me...

I remember just looking at that car parked downtown for a good ten minutes and saying to myself "i can't wait to get one" This was last spring...

I just recently bought mine as well and love it to death!

I added a little more mileage then you from my trip and i as well killed my tires doing so... I'm just replacing the 2 rear ones since the ones in the front are still alright. Next time around they should all wear evenly together and I will just buy all 4's at once.

Enjoy it, it's a very clean car!

So after 2-3 days of driving it are you happy?
I hope the vibration or shake ckears up. Great weekend for a cruise I figure.
Welcome to the fun factory.

There are things I love about the car and things I don't...however, I'm one of those people that believe cars have personalities (like women) and it takes some time for the two of you to "fit" together....some pairings fit really well and the magic happens...and other times not so much.

Love the power delivery, the engine sound at 6K rpm, the handling (when I first got it), comfort and of course the looks. Oh the looks!!

Not a fan of the seats really, don't like the fact that the car smells after a long drive and the engine is hot even though I'm assured nothing is wrong with it. (and sure enough it doesn't behave like anything is wrong) and I don't like feeling like I'm crippling the car because I don't have access to good enough gas. Shell 91 is decent, but I believe the car was engineered for superior. Lastly, I don't like not knowing what mapping the car is "choosing" based of my driving, fuel octane, etc. I want that feedback to know, maybe not directly control, but at least KNOW what the car is actually doing instead of guessing with my butt dyno.

Other things like the weak stereo (no bluetooth or ipod control, etc), cruise controls, gray interior and stock wheels are all minor gripes that I will either change or learn to love.

I've put about 16 tanks of gas in her...and I think I've been compliments on the car 13 of those times.

I can't wait to get the new rubber on and a proper alignment done. Then I will do a good twisty road, spirited run home from Edmonton and I'll be even more in love with Veronica
