My car sat for a week with the alarm set. Went to unlock it today and the remote would not do anything, although the light on the fob seemed brite as could be. Used the key to open the door, alarm sounded and reset fine when I hit the fob. Car started fine, and when I got to work, alarm set fine.

using the key to unlock, turn to the left or the alarm will sound, get the key into the ignition and turn it on quickly or the alarm will sound.
after the next sequence of locking the car with the remote you are back to normal until of course it sits for a few days again.
