Default Need February 2009 NADA or KBB for '99 996 values

Long shot plea for help here....

If anyone still has a copy or even a printout from KBB, NADA, or Edmunds from around February of 2009 for a 996 C2, I would REALLY appreciate if you could share it with me.

Trying to help out a friend who was screwed by a local dealer on a '99 996 last year. The car is really nice, but the dealer represented it as a no-story, 1 owner, CA car. When a potential buyer recently looked at it, he ran a Carfax and found it was originally a NJ car, with an accident in late '99 and 3 owners before my friend, all but the NJ owner here in CO.

The dealer knows they lied to my friend and is saying they care, but not DOING anything about it.

I would like to look up the value from Feb. 2009 (when my friend purchased the car) and compare it to today and have an attorney friend send a demand letter telling them they must buy the car back at the purchase price less the difference in NADA/KBB/Edmunds value to today.

Hope that makes sense and hope someone has access to one of these. My local library throws away all but the current issue.

Thanks,
Joe

Is there any written evidence the car was represented as stated? Without that, he doesn't have a chance. I learned the hard way.

I think your friend is entitled to the difference between a 3 owner/1 accident car, and the no issue one owner car. I don't know how to put a dollar value on it, and without written proof, the dealer will never pay.

Evidence of the misrepresentation is not the issue. I need to document the value in February 2009.

They charged a premium value then for a misrepresented car. Our plan is to demand that they buy the car back at the purchase price less the difference in "book value" . Of course they won't do it, but it will be where we will decide to go forward from.

Had this happen with my S4...dealer made a couple payments for me. They said no accidents...had one minor hit upfront.

It's called buyer beware. I wouldn't believe some half wit used car salesman for all the tea in China.

It amazes me how many people take other folks at there word.....

Believe in the power of the human spirt, but determine the intent of those who use that power to mislead and deceive....
