Default Floor mats

I know there's a search function somewhere, couldn't see it.

I have an '01 C4 and the floor mats keep sliding up. When I got it I think the previous owner used mats from a different car/model. The disks in the floor do not match up with the underside velcro of the mats. It got wedged up under my brake pedal last Saturday, no problem but could feel more resistance than usual, looked down and there it was. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I bought some heavy rubber mats from Porsche for my '01 C4 Cab but had to trim them to get them to fit. The Porsche parts guy insisted that they were made for the car and of course were very expensive. They have a lip around them that keeps the dirt and gravel from getting on the carpet. Problem was that I had to trim some of it off to get it around the drivers side left footrest.

mats are pretty stiff and non-compliant... your sound worn out.. buy a new set (IMO)

Default Quick fix....

I have had the same problem, i actually lifted up the mat and there is a velcro circle on the mat, clean it off and also inspect the black plastic circles on the floor of the car. I ended up unscrewing the "worn" black plastic circles and swapping them. The one on the right side still had some "grippy" material left on it compared to the left one. My mat stopped slidding forward..

FYI - if the black circles are toast on the drivers side then steal one from the passenger side instead.

Try repositioning the discs screwed into the floor carpet to line up with the velcro areas on the mats. If the discs are similar to the ones that came with my mats, they are simply large plastic "screws" that get twisted into the carpet. There are no pre-drilled holes for them so you can place them where ever you want.

If you have to buy new check out Lloyds.
Very well made and often times much plusher than factory mats.
They also have a retaining system that works very well. Much better than the "velcro" type.
