I'd do body color, it'll look killer with that polished rim.
PS appreciate your dedication to get these wheels looking right - good stuff.

Not a general statement. I was referring to these wheels specifically.
I would make sure that you check with someone who knows for sure before putting the wheels back together.

Did I read somewhere that you should not resuse those titanium wheel bolts?
I thought they are a one time use item.
this would be good to know - I recall hearing something but didnt listen too carefully as I saw something shiny right about then

I'd recommend in increments of 3 as apposed to 2 .... my 2 cents anyway. Good luck and I'm in on the Gun Metal Grey look!

thanks.... Ill see what I can dig up and report back, but the threads I dug up stated they have had no issues re-using them.

Yes, but since your making the effort, what's a few more hours of tedious, boring, wrenching in the garage?

Ferd,

did you find any sealant when taking it apart?

this 2 piece is a simple design.... no sealant/gasket. The barrel holds the center section by non protruding bolts. People have put them back together without any loctites.... but I will use blue loctite.

The barrel is very light.... the center is not. I will weigh them later.

I would do the spokes in glossy black and the rims in flat black. Sounds odd but ive seen this combo executed and its pretty slick in my opinion. Plus the black centers of course...

Oh, forgot to add that ive powder coated a set of wheels black and my finish was clear and glassy, unlike the wheels in the picture provided. Powder coating is the way to go. Make sure the wheels get an even coat throughout otherwise balancing the wheels becomes a problem.

Ferdinand, I have seen a few Porsches with the centers of the wheels painted body color....with your unique color, it would really look stunning.

Mine are powdercoated black. The center is sort of a matte black and the outside is gloss black. The color variation is due the the finish of the metal. Black is great for hiding brake dust.
